MISSION STATEMENT
After years of promoting the American art scene, Compound Gallery has realized that something is missing... independent and underground Japanese artists have no voice here and we want to change that. Each time we travel to Japan, we meet more of these exceptional artists, and are impressed by their innovative, fresh ideas. At the same time, the American art scene is hungry for new and original artists to follow. It is time to expose the American audience to Japanese artworks. It is time to bring together the American art collector and the Japanese artist. This is our goal at Compound Gallery.

DENNIS BROWN http://www.bagger43.com
Dennis Brown was born in the Philippines in 1983, and raised in Japan (Kadena and Yokota Air Base). After high school, he moved to Florida in 2001 to attend Ringling School of Art and Design where he received a BFA in Illustration. Shortly after graduating in 2005 he worked with EA games for a brief time and left in pursuit at trying his hand at freelance and self developmental image making.

Currently Brown resides in Brooklyn, New York and works in Manhattan. In his off time he still works on his art and contributes to gallery shows. He works in various media, surfaces, and content. He also enjoys collaborations, the making of products, gallery shows, sneakers, art books, good people and quality music in late hours of the morning.

VINCENT HUI http://www.hardsponge.com
Vincent Hui has been drawing ever since he was a kid. In school he would fill the pages of his textbooks with drawings of all his favorite manga characters, when he should have been paying attention in class. After being rejected by every university in hong Kong, due to pooe academic standing, Vincent travelled to the U.S., desperate to do something with the one and only talent he had cultivated throughtout his life. Despite the troubles of languages and cultural differences, for the first time in 28 years, Vincent has found that he could do something meaningful with his life long interest of doodling and random fantasy.

EDWARD KINSELLA http://www.edwardkinsella.com
Edward Kinsella III was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He majored in illustration at Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida and attended two years of the Illustration Academy. Since graduating, Edward has done freelance work for Rolling Stone, Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine, The Riverfront Times, and Philadelphia Weekly.

Since he was a child, Edward has been fascinated by pictures and the stories they tell. His goal is to create images that focus on storytelling.
